Structure of a Coordination
How Does the Structure of a Coordination Work?
A Coordination serves as the official local representation of SUPLIH within the community where it operates. As the organization’s local structure, it acts as a vital link between community members and SUPLIH’s central leadership, ensuring that local needs, concerns, and opportunities are effectively communicated and addressed.
The Coordination is responsible for identifying community challenges, gathering information, and reporting important issues to the appropriate levels of the organization. It works closely with local leaders, stakeholders, and citizens to propose practical solutions, implement approved recommendations, and support initiatives that contribute to community development and well-being.
In carrying out its responsibilities, a Coordination:
- Represents SUPLIH at the local level.
- Communicates the needs and concerns of the community to the central office.
- Identifies local challenges and opportunities for development.
- Recommends and supports solutions to community issues.
- Assists in the implementation of organizational programs and initiatives.
- Promotes community engagement and civic participation.
- Encourages partnerships, investments, and development opportunities.
- Supports efforts that contribute to peace, stability, and social cohesion.
- Ensures that SUPLIH’s vision, mission, policies, and programs are implemented in accordance with the organization’s Constitution, internal regulations, and guiding principles.
As the first point of contact between SUPLIH and the community, a Coordination plays a proactive role in responding to local concerns, strengthening community relations, and fostering an environment where citizens can work together toward common goals.
Through effective leadership, accountability, and collaboration, the Coordination helps transform SUPLIH’s vision into meaningful action at the grassroots level, ensuring that the organization remains responsive to the people it serves.
The Role of a Coordination
A Coordination is more than an administrative body—it is a community-based leadership structure dedicated to advancing SUPLIH’s mission, promoting local development, and empowering citizens to participate in building a stronger and more prosperous future for Haiti and Haitian communities worldwide.
